Hookers’ Lives

Hookers’ lives are often lonely,

and that loneliness is enhanced by the drugs that they do.

Ironically, they do the drugs to escape their loneliness

and so it becomes a vicious cycle from which they don’t know how to break through.

Their best friends become their dealers

who supply them with the drugs at hand.

The cycle is never broken unless it’s the one of supply and demand.

Addiction begins slowly

but is formed all too soon;

Addicts will go to any length for their fix

and hookers will turn tricks

all morning, night, and afternoon.
